Upromise no longer sends paper checks directly to members as a redemption option. Upromise has made it easier to receive your rewards. Instead of manually requesting and waiting for a paper check every time you want to receive your rewards, simply link a 529 College Savings Plan account or checking/savings account to your Upromise account. Upromise will automatically transfer your rewards on a monthly basis, generally during the first week of each month, provided that you have met your minimum transfer requirement.
Direct transfers have replaced paper checks because they are more secure, environmentally friendly, grant access to funds faster, and they eliminate the risk of checks becoming lost, forgotten or stolen.
