Follow these simple steps to link your student loan account:
Step 1: After logging into your Upromise account, click the Profile link from the account pull-down at the top right of the page.
Step 2: From the Profile page, click “Link Student Loan Account”.
Step 3: Read the modal about how Upromise uses a third-party Gift of College to connect your student loan account. Click <Continue> to proceed with the linking process.
Step 4: Click on <CONNECT YOUR STUDENT LOAN>.
Step 5: Review the information describing how your student loan will be linked to Gift of College. Click <Continue>.
Step 6: Select your loan servicer from the list of options. Most loan services are supported. You must select a loan servicer from the options.
Step 7: Enter your student loan information. Depending on your servicer, you may need to enter different details. You will at least need to enter the Username (or User ID or Email Address) and Password you use to access your student loan account. You may need to also enter your Date of Birth, Social Security Number, Phone Number, or your loan Account Number.
Step 8: If successful, you will see a message that authentication was successful. You may then click <Continue> to proceed with the student loan linking, or you may click <Add another account> to link an additional student loan account to your Upromise account.
Step 9: Click the ‘x’ in the upper right of the modal to close the student loan account linking and return to your Upromise Profile page.
Step 10: You will now see your student loan account linked to your Upromise account! If you want to remove the account, click on the <Manage> link on the right side of the linked account on the Upromise Profile page.
Step 11: Once you have linked a student loan account to your Upromise account, you will be requested to verify these changes via a confirmation email.
That’s it! Upromise initiates transfers for all eligible Upromise members during the first week of each month. If you are eligible, we will transfer your full rewards balance equally to your linked accounts on a monthly basis.
